Refund Policy

returns

jack & sparrow is confident you will be happy with your art.  marleen prides herself on the quality of her work and has over 16 years worth of super happy clients and retailers.   

marleen is happy to meet her obligations under the consumer guarantees act.  if her art has been wrongly described or is faulty, jack and sparrow will exchange or issue credit for your unused item within 7 days of receipt if returned in perfect, resellable condition to her in ontario, canada. 

a credit will not be offered unless all the above provisions are satisfied.

your satisfaction in the quality of the item is paramount, however, most pieces are cut to order (just for you!).  jack and sparrow does not offer refunds for change of mind. 

limitation of liability:  jack and sparrow limited will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from this product, whether direct, indirect, special, incidental or consequential.


refunds (if applicable)
once your return is received and inspected, jack and sparrow limited will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item, along with a store credit.  the store credit/gift card is valid for 12 months from the date of issue. 

cancellation/change of mind on custom work before the item has been finalised for cutting will incur a $80USD charge for design work.  once the design has been finalised and programmed for cutting, jack and sparrow limited is unable to provide a refund for cancellation/change of mind. 

if you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within seven days.

sale items (if applicable)
only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

exchanges (if applicable)
we only replace items if they are defective or damaged.  if you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at marleen@jackandsparrow.com.

gifts
if the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return.  once the returned item is received, a gift card will be emailed to you.

if the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a gift credit to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.

shipping
to return your product, please email jack & sparrow limited for a shipping address.

you will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. shipping costs are non-refundable.  if you receive a refund, if the item was received damaged, the cost of return shipping will be added to your refund.

depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

if you are shipping an item over $80USD, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. we don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
